Amp’d mobile implodes

Tech Crunch is reporting that Amp’d Mobile is declaring bankruptcy. This is only of interest to me because they have an exclusive phone that my husband LOVES. I hope it becomes available elsewhere (Verizon) soon.

Movable type goes open source

It was only last month that I finally made the switch from Movable Type to Word Press. A big part of the reason I made the switch was that I am committed to open source software. Well, now Movable Type has announced they’re going open source. Darn.

Taylor’s trip to the Zoo

My sister and her son, Taylor, came to visit me in Lincoln today, and we went to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo. Afterwards, I showed Melissa how to edit the video clips I took with my camera with Windows Movie Maker.

How to: Add a “save and continue” link to Wikipedia or other MediaWiki site.

If you use MediaWiki to run an internal wiki, and like to save your work often, you may be somewhat frustrated by the fact you have to save, then go back to edit mode and scroll down to return to your place.

nirak.net way back

I just looked at the wayback machine entries for nirak.net. None of them are complete- most are missing the background, rollover graphics, etc. I’m struck by how often I changed my design. I don’t remember the address I used before nirak.net, so the sites I had from 1998-2000 are lost forever. Sometime I should put up a gallery of the old web designs that I have.
